こんにちは、先週に引き続きあきよしがブログを更新します。

It’s been raining a lot lately, so it is very humid. But at night, we feel cool wind.
最近雨がよく降り、蒸し暑いです。しかし、夜はだんだん涼しくなってきました！

1) Buddy meeting
Firstly, I would like to explain what buddy system is. We have “buddy system” in Bapro. Japanese students can choose their own buddy, and usually the Japanese student and the buddy are in the same class. Therefore, the buddy can help the Japanese student during class, if the Japanese student cannot understand what teacher says. Of course, they can hang out after school or on the weekend. I already saw some Japanese students were in town with their buddies!! The purpose of the buddy meeting is to explain cultural differences and buddy’s duty. Also, we are planning to hold a buddy event on March, so we hope the event will be successful.

Baproにはバディーシステムというものがあります。バディーシステムとは、日本人学生が自分と気の合うローカル学生を見つけてバディーになってもらい日々の学校生活で相談に乗ってもらったりアドバイスをもらったりするシステムです。基本的に学生は同じクラスの学生をバディーに選び、授業中に助けてもらっています。また、放課後や週末もバディーと遊ぶことができます。私はすでに日本人学生とバディーが街を歩いているのを見ました。そして、今回のバディーミーティングの目的は文化の違いやバディーの役割をバディーに伝えることでした。バディーたちは真剣に話を聞いていました。そして、3月には日本人学生とバディーがもっと仲良くなれるようなイベントを企画しています。

She was staying in Hiroshima until she graduated from High School. After that, she entered a university in Osaka. She worked at Freebird in Osaka for 2 years, and she has been working at Bapro since this January.
高校まで広島で過ごし、大学入学を機に大阪に引っ越す。卒業後、Free Bird 大阪支社に就職。2015年１月よりフィジー赴任。

Favorite things in Fiji（フィジーの好きなところ）：
Fijian has good relations with others and it makes their experiences richer.
人と人との繋がりを大切にし、人生を豊かにしているところ。

3) A lecture by JICA.
On 27th of February, 3 people from JICA visited Bapro and had a lecture for our students. Firstly, they asked students to have an ice-breaking game that uses Hindi and Fijian languages. After that, they explained about JICA’s system and activities.
3月27日、JICAの方にBaProで講演していただきました。はじめに、フィジー語とインド語を使ったアイスブレーキングゲームをしました。そして、JICAの方からJICAのシステムと活動について説明がありました。

He is working at Rakiraki, to improve Fijian Education. In Fiji, Music, Arts and PE class are not common as Japan. So he is trying to improve those subjects for better education.
彼はラキラキで教育の支援をしています。フィジーでは、音楽、芸術、体育のクラスが一般化していないのでそれらの教科と教育の質を向上するために彼は働いています。

He is working at Nadi, to improve the environment. He is trying to spread 3R policy to Fijian people.
彼はNADIで働いていて、環境保全をサポートしています。そして、3R（Reuse, Reduce, Recycle）などをフィジー人に広める活動をしています。

Students were listening to their lecture seriously and some students asked them some questions. Also we are planning to have a program with JICA during next Special Programme. 学生たちは真剣に講義を聞いていました。また、質問を熱心にする学生の姿も見られました。そして、次の学期間プログラムではJICAとの共同プログラムを企画しています。
